I will be your child’s special education teacher this school year. Teaching is my second career. I previously worked as an account manager. My past experiences helped me develop organizational, people, and time management skills which have translated to an efficient and effective classroom.
I am well-educated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University in financial planning and consumer affairs, a Master's degree in business administration from Keller Graduate School, and Master's degree in special education from University of Phoenix.
Since obtaining my degree in special education six years ago, I have been a special educator at Esperanza Elementary School. I have really enjoyed the transition to teaching and working with a diverse population of students. While each day is filled with challenges, teaching is truly the most rewarding experience of my life. I am able to actively participate in the academic and personal growth of such great young minds. I believe each child is an individual and brings into the classroom a unique set of experiences. I enjoy learning through the eyes of my students each and every year. I feel at home in the classroom surrounded by laughter and learning. It is going to be extraordinary year at Esperanza!
